Siddha System of medicine not only deals with the diseases and medicine but also the day today life of a human being. For example it explains vastly about the types of food items to be consumed in each time of a day, ie., morning, noon and night.
According to siddha, morning is the time of 'Vatha', in which the Vatha humour among the three humours in the body is more predominant. The noon, it is the time of 'Pitha'. Evening time and early night the 'Kapha' humour predominates. The food items should be selected by considering the changes in the humours around the day.
