GANDHAKA SUDAR THYLAM FOR ECZEMA

Gandhaka Sudar thylam is a classical siddha medicine explained in ancient siddha text Aasthyar Paripooranam 400. Sudar thylam is a special preparation in siddha system of medicine. The ingredients of this medicine are grind with said juices or butter and paste it on a cloth ribbon. This cloth is twisted on one end of a metallic wick. It is then placed over a vessel and light it. Suitable oils like neem oil, castor oil, Ghee etc., are poured over the wick slowly as the oil travel down the burning end and drip into the vessel below. The process is repeated with the collected oil again until the material in the burning wick is completely consumed. 

Agasthyar Paripooranam 400 is a ancient siddha text book by Sage Agasthyar. This book deals with the preparation methods of various siddha medicines for several diseases.

KUPPAIMENI FOR BURNING SENSATION OF BODY

INJI CHURNAM FOR LOSS OF APPETITE AND TASTELESSNESS

 If one don't have the same desire to eat as he/she used to, then it is called loss of appetite. This may be a symptom of some serious underlying diseases or may be a simple indigestion due to food habits. Signs of decreased appetite include not wanting to eat, unintentional weight loss, and not feeling hungry. The idea of eating food may make one feel nauseous, or sometimes might vomit after eating.

S(J)EERAKA CHURNAM FOR INDIGESTION AND VOMITING

 Seerakam or Jeerakam is the Cumin seed in common. Seerakam, the name has two parts 'seer' and 'akam'. 'Seer' means  'one who looks around' and 'akam' means 'internally'. Seerakam addresses diseases pertaining to digestive system. In sanskrith it is called as Jeera, the word originated form 'Jeerna', which means digestion.

Indigestion and vomiting due to it is a common ailment. Indigestion also called dyspepsia or an upset stomach is characterized by abdominal pain and fullness of stomach soon after taking small amount of food.

Jeeraka Churnam is a siddha herbal preparation mentioned in famous siddha text Pulippani Vaidyam 500. In this book, Sage Pulippani explains several internal and external medications for different kinds of cancer.

Jeeraka churnam is prepared out of 

1. Cumin seeds - Jeerakam
2. Sugar
3. Lime juice
4. Sugar Cane Juice
5. Melothria Juice -(Musumusukkai Juice) - Mukia maderaspatana
6. Goose berry Juice - (Nellikkai Juice) - Emblica officinalis
7. Solanum Trilobatum Juice - (Thuthuvalai Juice) - Solanum Trilobatum
8. Neem Bark Juice- (Veppin Pattai Juice) - Azadirachta indica
9. White dead nettle Juice- (Thumbai Ilai juice)- Leucas aspera

 1 - 2 gm of Seeraka Churnam twice or thrice daily with water according to the condition will cure biliousness, vomiting, giddiness and indigestion. It will increase the digestive fire.

VEDAAGNI KUMARAN CHURNAM - FOR GASTRIC PROBLEMS

 Gastric problems is a very common ailment. Peptic ulcer, acidity, worm infestations, Indigestion, Irritation to stomach due to increased use of some medicines, food items are common among them. Sour belching, constipation, Anorexia, diarrhoea, bogginess, stomach ache etc may come along with this. Proper appetite and digestion should be there to avoid such problems.

An ancient siddha Text book, Agasthyar Vaidya Pooranam 205,one of the most important works of Sage Agasthyar, states an excellent medicines, 'Vedaagni kumaran churnam' to cure all type of gastric problems by cleansing the stomach and improving digestive fire.

This simple but highly effective medicine contains two ingredients.

1. Kuppaimeni (Acalypha indica) and

2. Jeerakam (Cuminum cyminum)

According to Sage Agasthyar, the plant kuppai meni  (Acalypha indica) is dried and powdered and added same quantity of Jeeraka  (Cuminum cyminum) powder. If this medicine is taken internally for 40 days all gas related problems of stomach will be cured, it will increase Appetit and relieves indigestion. It may even cure mild poisonous condition due to the bite of small reptiles.

 As it is a traditional medicine said in ancient siddha literatures, it is not available in market.
