Seerakam or Jeerakam is the Cumin seed in common. Seerakam, the name has two parts 'seer' and 'akam'. 'Seer' means 'one who looks around' and 'akam' means 'internally'. Seerakam addresses diseases pertaining to digestive system. In sanskrith it is called as Jeera, the word originated form 'Jeerna', which means digestion.
Indigestion and vomiting due to it is a common ailment. Indigestion also called dyspepsia or an upset stomach is characterized by abdominal pain and fullness of stomach soon after taking small amount of food.

- Solanum Trilobatum Juice - (Thuthuvalai Juice) - Solanum Trilobatum
- Neem Bark Juice- (Veppin Pattai Juice) - Azadirachta indica
- White dead nettle Juice- (Thumbai Ilai juice)- Leucas aspera
1 - 2 gm of Seeraka Churnam twice or thrice daily with water according to the condition will cure biliousness, vomiting, giddiness and indigestion. It will increase the digestive fire.
