Kudineer Churnam is a powder in coarse form of raw drugs intended to prepare decoction. Generally 25 gm of this powder is used for making 100ml of decoction out of 500 ml water. Shelf life of this medicine is one year.

ANNABEDI CHENDURAM

Annabedi chenduram[1] is a herbo-mineral combination siddha drug. It contains two ingradients, green vitriol and vinegar. The textual reference of this drug is ‘siddha Vaidya thirattu’.

[1] Chenduram is cataory of siddha medicine with reddish colour and powdery form. In siddha system the chenduram variety of madicines need not necessarirly contain sulpher or mercury and there are instances where no heating is required at all in the process. KUNGILIYA PARPAM

Kumkiliya Parpam  is a plant based medicinal product in siddha medicine. This medicine is a Parpam variety of medicine. The resin obtained from a tree called Shala tree (Shorea robusta) 

The resin is processed in tender coconut water, dried and powdered. This medicine is creamy white in colour. 

Indications: Leucorrhoea, painful micturition, Urinary tract infections, gonorrhea, gastric ulcer, glossitis, stomatitis and dysentery

Dose : 200 to 500 mg can be given with ghee, butter or tender coconut water twice daily.

This medicine has haemostatic action also so this can be used as a dusting powder in wounds and cuts. This is also effective in bleeding piles and menorrhagia.

Sneezing in the early morning and continuous sneezing are the common form of allergy experienced by most of the people. Some people may have continuous nasal discharge and sometime it may be with blood or smell. The sinus area of face will be tender. Eyes are reddish with itching around. KUNGILIYA VENNAI

Kungiliya vennai is a simple siddha medicine highly effective in burns, ulcers, chancres and carbuncles. This medicine is applied externally for these complaints. In case of leucorrhoea, gonorrhoea, veneral sores, arthritis bronchitis, burning sensation of stomach, face, palm and soles, this mdicine is given with cardomom seeds in a dose of 3-6 gm twice a day. Kungiliya vennai is prepared out of Ven kungiliyam(Shorea robusta resin) and coconut oil. The prepared medicine is preserved in pure water. This ointment with semisolid consistency has a shelf life of 3 months.

 

THAYIR CHUNDI CHURNAM

Thayir chundi churnam is a siddha medicinal powder used for diarrhea, indigestion and vomiting. This simple medicine is processed out of five salts, dry ginger and curd.
This medicine can be prescribed for chronic diarrhea in a dose of one to two grams with hot water and another siddha medicine called kaantha chendooram. The formulation of this medicine is available in the text 'siddha vaidya thirattu.'

Amritha vennai

Amritha vennai or Sawveera Kuzhambu is a siddha medicine for external use. This medicine is in paste form and made up of mercuric cloride and butter. It is prepared by grinding one part of mercuric cloride (veeram) with hundred and fifty parts of butter. This medicine is used for the treatment of ulcers, boils, carbuncles, abscesses, and scorfula. This medicine is for strict external use only.

Omatheeneer an effective siddha drug

Indigestion and anorexia is the most coming abdominal discomforts. Omatheeneer is an excellent siddha drug for all type of indigestion, anorexia, diarrhea. It promotes good appetite. Ss per the siddha text' siddha vaidya thirattu' this medicine is processed out of only one raw drug that is' ajowan seeds'. (Trachyspermum ammi). This seeds contains essential oil. The medicine Omatheeneer is obtained by the distillation process of the above said seeds. Dosage of Omatheeneer is 15-30 ml with equal quantity of water twice a day.

Amukkura Churnam is a well known siddha drug. The original text reference of this effective medicine is Therayar Karisal 300.  This unpretentious herbal medicine with just 8 ingredients is very much useful in several disease conditions. This medicine was widely used for its spermatogenesis effect in the treatment of male infertility. Now its usage become vast. This medicine is found to be useful in Parkinsonism and in the management of post fever arthralgia in dengu fever.
