Siddha Home Remedies with Adathoda

AADATHODAI or Adathoda (Justicia adhatoda) is a helb with several medicinal properties. Justicia adhatoda, commonly known in English as Malabar nut, adulsa, adhatoda, vasa, or vasaka, is a medicinal plant native to Asia, widely used in Siddha Medicine, Ayurvedic, homeopathy and Unani systems of medicine.

Home Remedies with Adathoda
1. Leaves of this plant is very much useful in Curing fevers, gastric problems, cough, and vomiting.

2. For Hypertension, fever, cough and jaundice. Take Leaf juice 10-20 drops twice a day by  adding honey.

3. Leaf is rolled and smoked as Cigarette it cures cough.

4. For cough, fever and emaciation of body - Leaf and root are taken in equal quantity, add pepper make it as decoction by putting this in water for some hours. Take this preparation 15 to 30 ml twice daily.

5. Bark decoction is given for fever, cough and tuberculosis.

6. Root of adathodai, Kandankattiri root (Solanum surattense), chukku(Zingiber officinale), Kollu. Decoction prepared with these and given with powder of water lilly tuber for fever due to increased Kapha.
