Nandukkal parpam is a siddha classical medicine explained in siddha text Kalnandu soothiram 16. This is a medicine in which a fossil is used as a raw material. The main ingradient of this medicine is Nandukkal (Fossil of crab). The fossil is processed in different solutions like water of lime from lime (kal chunnam neer) stones, solution of alkaline earth salt (Pooneeru thelivu), Aerva lanata plant juice (Sirupeelai juice) and radish juice (Mullangi juice).
The usual dosage of this medicine is 200mg to 400 mg twice daily. The best adjuvents of this medicine are Aerva juice, Raddish juice or Asteracantha juice or decoctions of the same. Tender coconut water and plane water can also be used as adjuvents for several diseases.
Diseases it cures
Urinary obstructions, Inflammation of urogenital tract, and Urinary calculi.
