KABHAJWARA KUDINEER

Kudineer Churnam is a powder in coarse form of raw drugs intended to prepare decoction. Generally 25 gm of this powder is used for making 100ml of decoction out of 500 ml water. Shelf life of this medicine is one year.

1.       Abraka chenduram 100-200 mg once or twice daily with honey.

2.       Tab.Maha elathi Gulikai 1-2 pills daily with tender coconut water or hiney or milk or lime juice.

ANNABEDI CHENDURAM

Annabedi chenduram[1] is a herbo-mineral combination siddha drug. It contains two ingradients, green vitriol and vinegar. The textual reference of this drug is ‘siddha Vaidya thirattu’.

Indications

Aneamia, jaundice, dysentery, and fever.

Dose

100 to 200 mg twice a day with honey.

[1] Chenduram is cataory of siddha medicine with reddish colour and powdery form. In siddha system the chenduram variety of madicines need not necessarirly contain sulpher or mercury and there are instances where no heating is required at all in the process. Depending upon the preparation method of chenduram it is classified into several types such as ‘erippu chenduram’ , ‘varuppu chenduram’, araippu chenduram’, kuppi erippu chenduram’, ‘leghupuda chenduram’ etc.

NAGA PARPAM

Naga parpam is a siddha medicine useful for several diseases. The textual reference of this medicine is Bogar vaidyam 700. Ingredients are purified zinc, eclipta leaf juice and aloe pulp. This medicine can be used for the diseases like piles, fistula, diarrhoea, cough, asthma, dyspnoea and dysentery.

The common dose of this medicine is 100 mg to 200 mg. Suitable adjuvants are butter, ghee, Thetrankottai lehyam, karunai lehyam etc.
