AYABRINGARAJA KARPAM

The word karpam means Elixir, or which one rejuvenate the body. The definition of karpa medicine is a medicament that are supposed to promote long longevity and sound health. By consuming karpa medicine one will get metallic voice, increased stamina and immunity to diseases in addition to the said indications. Karpa medicine should consume for a stipulated period and in certain manner as per the literature. It may be for 40 days or by increasing the dose day by day etc. Some Karpa medicine are prepared from plants alone and are prepared daily and consumed with in an hour, they are called as Moolikai karpa. Some others are prepared from metals, minerals and salts and may be preserved for long period of time, they are called as Dhathu karpa.

Ayabringaraja karpam is a dhathu karpam prepared from Purified Iron (Ayam), purified dross iron (Mandooram), Eclipta juice (Bringaraja)(Karisalai/kayoonni juice) and lime juice(elumichai/naranga juice).

The prescribed dose of this medicine is 100 to 200 mg twice a day. For better results this medicine is consumed with suitable adjuvents like honey or ghee or curd or lime juice or butter for 40 days. While taking this medicine one should avoid tamarind and sour tasted food items.

This is considered as excellent medicine for the treatment of Anaemia, Dropsy and liver and spleen diseases like Hepatomegaly and splenomegaly etc
